Monochrome Gift Ideas from Mercedes-Benz: Brilliant White for the Holidays

    POST A COMMENT

Monochrome Gift Ideas from Mercedes-Benz: Brilliant White for the Holidays

Mercedes-Benz has put together an exclusive range of gifts for the coming festive season with white as the predominant color. The varied selection of gifts for children and adults from the Mercedes-Benz Collection ranges from two and four-wheel vehicles with tailor-made comfort features to smart sports and leisurewear.

With its all-out high-quality fittings, first-class fabrication and elegant design, the Comfort Edition mountain bike in white meets all the needs of the discerning cyclist. The high-end aluminum construction from the Bike Collection immediately appeals with its sophisticated four-link rear construction that combines a high level of cycling comfort with optimum tire traction on challenging off-road terrain. The handlebar grips with ergonomic hand support surfaces are adapted to the bike perfectly and produced by Ergon, a renowned manufacturer of ergonomic cycle components and solutions.

The state-of-the-art frame was developed in collaboration with premium German cycle manufacturer ADPEngineering GmbH, which also produces the renowned high-quality cycles of the Rotwild brand and has established itself as a reliable partner for all two-wheel constructions offered by Mercedes-Benz. Furthermore, the elegant bike also meets the requirements of fashion-conscious cyclists thanks to the discreet interplay of colors with black and red elements.

The Comfort Edition in white is available in frame sizes S (45 cm) and M (48 cm), and the anthracite-colored Sport Edition with modified fittings is available in sizes S (47 cm), M (50 cm) and L (53 cm).

Popular Sports Utility Vehicle in miniature format

The authentic model cars of the GLK-Class also feature a high degree of diversity. They are equally suitable both for the collector’s display cabinet and as an exclusive desk eye-catcher. They are sought-after innovations in both the leading global collector dimensions of 1:18* and 1:43and the popular model railway size 1:87. As with the original, two different editions (the off-road styling package and the exterior sports package) as well as high-gloss coatings in the original colors are available.

    Stylish outfit for every occasion

Classy white is also the identifying feature of the exclusive range of clothing for him and her. The polo shirt for ladies (sizes 36 to 44) and gents (sizes 50 to 56) from the Golf Collection has been designed for Mercedes-Benz by Chervò, the leading manufacturer of golfing and leisurewear. This modern classic is made of DRY-MATIC. Thanks to its special molecular structure, the synthetic micro fiber prevents water and humidity from being absorbed, thereby enabling the shirt to dry particularly fast.

The cozy set of ladies’ woollies from the Lifestyle Collection offers effective protection against the cold : the bonnet, scarf, gloves and wrist warmers are made from a high-quality mix of wools. A large number of decorative ice crystals adorn the attractive set - and give the Mercedes star its winter look.

The men’s shirt with classic Kentcollar also proves valuable in the cold season. Also from the Lifestyle Collection, it is manufactured in finest easy-care quality and available in sizes S to XXL. This item of clothing was developed on behalf of Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with the traditional manufacturer OLYMP and embodies high-quality material, first-class fabrication and outstanding wear and care convenience. The pure silk tie in dark red with a Jacquard pattern - or alternatively in dark blue with stripes - provides an elegant contrast of colors.

Top fashion for Formula 1 fans in the current style of the McLaren Mercedes Team

The product range of the current Motorsports Collection is also being launched in brilliant white and can be combined perfectly with every outfit. Gray and red elements lend the multifunctional rain jacket a unique accent. Sealed seams at the shoulders and arms keep the wearer nice and dry while the Teflon coating provides protection against the wind, elements and dirt. What’s more, the practical built-in mobile phone pocket contains a hole for inserting headphones.

While the robust outdoor jacket is available for both male and female motor sport fans, the comfortable hooded sweatshirt is reserved solely for female Formula 1 enthusiasts. Red, gray and silver decorative elements on a white background add a special touch to this. The stylish blouse with neckholder is likewise turned into a genuine eye-catcher by the targeted positioning of colors - and has a particularly feminine look thanks to its narrow waist.

The Formula 1 ladies’ cap stands out as a simultaneously attractive and practical accessory. The intricate elastic interface ensures an optimum air supply even in bright sunshine on the ski slopes. The elaborate red highlight stripe underlines the smart casual appearance.

The same thing for kids as for adults: mobile child stars

The topic of mobility on all road surfaces is among the most important features characterizing the product range for children. A particular highlight here is the Bobby Benz SLK AMG special edition in white with production limited to 1,000 units. The facelifted version of the popular child’s go-cart clearly resembles the distinctive shape and dynamic line of its big brother on the roads.

The enhanced driving position of the successor model to the classic kid’s go-cart facilitates a more ergonomic leg positioning and thus more driving pleasure and better handling. The new Direct-Steer system has also reduced the turning circle so that the Bobby-Benz can now also be driven in the home. The high-profile whisper wheels fitted as standard on genuine Mercedes-Benz multi-spoke rims minimize the noise level.

The rakish Bobby-Bob sledge will also get young winter sports fans aged three and over properly into gear in the snow. Thanks to its cold-resistant synthetic construction, the innovative ski slope runabout is protected against icy temperatures of up to minus 30 degrees. The ergonomically designed steering fork and centrally positioned stable steering runner guarantee a safe ride. The monoski is also equipped with a telescopic suspension that is even able to cushion rapid starts comfortably. Replaceable metal runners made of high-quality stainless steel ensure a long service life.

There is also a genuine highlight for keen up-and-coming bikers: The kids’ bike is a cross between a walking bike and a bicycle. The ingenious ‘two-in-one’ solution makes riding a bike child’s play. Children aged two-and-a-half and above initially learn in a playful manner how to maintain their balance on two wheels: For this purpose the crank and chain are removed as a unit and the bike is turned into a training device. Once the children have trained sufficiently, the drive unit is easily refitted to turn the walking bike back into a complete bicycle. The large 16-inch wheels significantly increase the useful life of the multifunctional bicycle so that even six-year-olds enjoy using it.

The big racing sensation in small sizes

We also have the right outfit for children. In terms of ‘speed exhilaration’ the products of the Motorsports Collection capture the trends of the adults and focus on true Formula 1 flair. Whether in front of the television or on the pavement turned into a miniature race track: the kid's driver overall for three to eleven-year-olds (sizes S to XL) with authentic reproductions of the current sponsorship logos is absolutely fit for competition. And the Formula 1 kid's cap in silver with mesh insert and red highlight stripes on the side provides the ideal match.

The racing sensation can be experienced particularly vividly in the look of the major Formula 1 stars. The long sleeve racing shirt of the Vodafone McLaren Team is absolutely authentic and likewise adorned with the lettering and logos of the current sponsors.

The white UV beach shirt, available in sizes 86-104, keeps UV rays away from sensitive children’s skin. The delicate neck area is protected by a small stand-up collar. The sophisticated chrome imprint in silver and red serves as an eye-catcher. The team cap is not only stylish but also practical, as it keeps both sun and rain away. The pajama set in sizes 68 to 92 will ensure both sweet and fast dreams. Here too, the gray, red and black stripes stimulate the optical impact. And the Formula 1 logo on a white background distinguishes the true budding fan.

All Collection products can be obtained from Mercedes-Benz partners and are available immediately.

citizenM hotel has won the Most Innovative Hotel award at the European Hotel Design Awards 2008. The European Hotel Design Awards, presented by Sleeper Magazine is the premier celebration of outstanding innovations in the hospitality industry and hotel design in Europe.

"This was perhaps the most hotly contested decision I have seen the judging panel have to make in the six years I have been involved in these awards. But I think it is fair to say that the eventual winner is a hotel that stood out from the competition in all aspects of its conception. Not just it's design and architecture, but also its use of technology, it's marketing, its future development potential and most importantly, the seamless integration of all these into a product that offers the guest a rewarding experience. The winning project was acknowledged by the panel to be a radically new hotel concept that will have considerable influence on others in the industry for years to come." Says Matt Turner, editor in chief Sleeper Magazine.

The Dutch hotel group citizenM hotels won the grand prize: The European Hotel Design Award of the Year
and three awards in the categories:

    THE INNOVATION AWARD

Ahmed Akudi, International Projects Director, Grohe AG

    THE TECHNOLOGY AWARD
"... We've seen moving facades.† The innovation of this hotel gives a scope and a degree of innovation... There's one clear winner.. citizenM hotels!" Guy Dittrich, journalist.
